THE VITAL SHIFT NEWSLETTER

Reflections & Practices for Sustainable Growth

This newsletter is a space where my work in business development, leadership education, and human-centered growth comes together.

Here, I share reflections, practices, and insights drawn from experience — supporting clarity, inner alignment, and intentional action through moments of transition, complexity, and change.

Each edition offers an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect inner awareness with real-life decisions — in work, relationships, and personal direction.

Can You Live in Tune with Yourself?

The focus this month is on observing your lifestyle and assessing whether there’s a reasonable harmony between thoughts, emotions, and actions — that is, living in tune with yourself.

Fall, with its falling leaves and crisp air, is a season of movement and change in nature, in our routines, and in the subtle energy of our emotions. It’s a perfect time to look at the alignment between the inside and the outside of our lives. Because it’s within this deep harmony between who we are and how we live that we find the quiet force of growth and renewal — the source of our vitality and resilience.

We might start by asking: Is who I am at my core present in my daily life?

It’s a valuable question because sometimes these two parts of us fall out of sync. We may value something deeply but act in ways that don’t honor our insights or values.

For example, if you value friendship but spend most of your days alone, there’s a misalignment between what matters to you and how you live. This tension, even when subtle, creates discomfort — and if ignored, it can eventually drain your vitality.

👉 If you recognize this kind of tension, I invite you to safely explore your inner self.

For me, walking along nearly empty beaches — especially at sunrise or sunset — is a way to reconnect with my inner world. The rhythm of the waves and the stillness of the shore enable space for deeper dialogue with myself, sometimes even when I’m sharing that moment with someone I love. These moments of clarity are precious; they stay with me and guide my everyday life.

Making time in our everyday life to listen to ourselves is already a step toward alignment. Do you have a place or ritual that helps you listen and understand what you truly need?

 Focus: Assess Lifestyle Alignment

A vital aspect of life for anyone interested in growth and healthy regeneration is to know oneself and align one’s lifestyle with one’s inner truths.

I learned from Carl Jung that we are born with one selfthe inner self. Over time, through emotional experiences and social conditioning, part of this inner self detaches from its original core, becoming the outer self. This part of our personality — what psychology calls the ego — adapts to the environment to gain approval and meet our needs. Yet sometimes it takes over, and we lose touch with our true nature.

When the inner self — consisting of truth, desires, values, and emotions — and the outer self — expressed through behavior and choices — are not in harmony, a subtle kind of stress and fatigue emerges: the kind that rest or distraction can’t resolve. In fact, it often intensifies over time, pulling us further away from what truly matters.

Growth and renewal happen when all parts of the self (inner and outer) support the integrity of being — instead of letting fear or the need for approval take the lead.

A simple yet powerful first step is to observe yourself and reflect on what you notice: Write down what stands out, compare your reactions and emotions with what you truly believe and desire. This process opens the door to self-knowledge and resilience.

Ask yourself:
• Are your most important values reflected in the way you live?
• Where would you like more alignment between values, passions, behaviors, and choices?

Reflect:
• Reevaluate how you spend your time, space, and energy.
• Notice which aspects of daily life truly nourish you — and which ones drain your energy.

It may seem like a big commitment, but don’t let that discourage you. Even small adjustments, made consciously, create ripple effects. They bring you closer to a life that feels coherent — where intentions and actions move in the same direction, supporting your purpose and overall well-being.

A Client Insight

“I realize I was postponing taking care of my body — not because of a lack of time, but because I was attached to the image of who I used to be when I was younger, and afraid to show my body as it is now. The session helped me to reconnect with my self-worth. Taking small, consistent steps helped me build a new routine grounded in acceptance and love of myself. I’m regaining vitality and confidence in who I am today.”
